By: Amelia HamiltonSchool choice empowers families to choose the school that is right for them, empowerment which is celebrated with the #ITrustParents campaign. Created by PublicSchoolOptions.org and launched in 2014, this campaign allows policy makersto share why they trust parents enough to support school choice legislation.President and Parent leader Tillie Elvrum said “PublicSchoolOptions.org’s #ITrustParents campaign is a common sense call to give parents the ability to choose the school that works best for their children. Bureaucrats far away in Washington, and even our state capitals, can’t know how each individual child learns best, but as their very first teachers, parents do. We know that when parents are given choices, their children have the most opportunities for success. Our #ITrustParents campaign asks policymakers to join us in trusting parents when it comes to their children’s education.”

The hashtag #ITrustParents is filled with stories of policymakers ready to empower families, and parents who are grateful to have the freedom to choose the best school for their children.
