The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Richmond, VA – The Virginia Chapter of the National Coalition for Public School Options is grateful for Governor Glenn Youngkin’s decision to sign HB1820. This legislation provides parents across the Commonwealth with the flexibility for having their virtual school students take the growth assessment tests on-line and is one of the first in the nation parent/student friendly testing bills.
“Governor Youngkin continues to demonstrate his commitment to empowering parents and providing educational options that work best for students," said Letrisha Weber, Board President of the National Coalition for Public School Options. "We recognize that this bill would give students the flexibility they need in order to test in an environment that best suits their needs."
"Often times students do not test well in group settings and need accommodations in order to complete the tests," continued Weber. "We recognize that when these students are afforded the ability to test in a setting that works best for them, their performance increases and the results are improved. We hope other states recognize this and pass similar laws to give students and parents the same flexibility."
HB1820, patroned by Delegate John Avoli (R – Staunton), is designed to fix an unintended consequence from legislation passed in 2022 related to the growth assessment tests. The bill will allow students in a virtual program to take the growth assessment tests on-line in a setting that works best for them.
The challenge virtual students and teachers are encountering is that students are missing 12 plus days of instructional time to travel to testing sites to take the growth assessment tests and parents are experiencing challenges with travel, childcare and missing work as a result of these in person testing requirements.
This bill is parent-friendly. Many parents struggle with balancing work schedules and childcare in order to travel to testing sites three times a year.
Giving parents the flexibility on the growth assessments tests to let their students test in an environment that works best for them alleviates a number of these challenges.
The bill includes nine safeguards and requirements from a technology aspect to ensure that students are appropriately proctored and the tests are appropriately administered.
