Parents & students will meet with legislatorsMONTGOMERY Ala. – On Wednesday, the Alabama chapter of PublicSchoolOptions.org will host its annual 2017 Capitol Day Rally, bringing together parents and students from across the state to learn about the civic process, meet with legislators and share their stories about how school choice has benefitted their families.The PublicSchoolOptions.org Capitol Day will start with an educational program at 9:45 a.m., where more than 100 parents and students will learn more about the importance of giving each child and parent the choices they need to succeed. After the program, the group will walk to the Alabama State House where they will engage with their lawmakers. Finally, students and parents will hear from lawmakers themselves at the day’s final event, starting at 1 p.m.PublicSchoolOptions.org believes that every child, regardless of their zip code or how much money their parents make, deserves the best start in life.
