Event at the Hall of Flags will celebrate school choice options for students and familiesAUGUSTA, Maine – On Tuesday, the Maine chapter of PublicSchoolOptions.org will co-host a National School Choice Week event at the Hall of Flags in Augusta to celebrate the benefits of school choice for Maine students and families. A press conference with Roger Brainerd of the Maine Association for Charter Schools will be held in conjunction with a charter school fair. The event, that coincides with National School Choice Week, will be attended by families across Maine who benefit from school choice options and those interested in learning about what choices are available for parents and students.PublicSchoolOptions.org believes that every child, regardless of their zip code or how much money their parents make, deserves the best start in life. We firmly believe that begins with a parent’s ability to choose the school where their child will thrive — whether that’s in a traditional brick and mortar school, public virtual school, charter school, home school, or private school. Every child learns differently, even within the same family. Giving parents options so their child can succeed is critical.EVENT DETAILSTuesday, January 2411:00amMaine National School Choice Week CelebrationHall of Flags230 State StreetAugusta, MaineOpen Press Next week PublicSchoolOptions.org will participate in National School Choice Week events in Alabama, Arkansas, Nevada, Texas, and Wyoming.
