Virtual School Families Unite at the Texas Capitol

On Friday, February 14, virtual school families, students, and educators from across Texas gathered at the State Capitol for a successful 2025 Virtual School Capitol Day. With over 60 attendees, the event was a powerful demonstration of advocacy, education, and community-building in support of virtual learning. Parents and students had the unique opportunity to explore the Capitol through guided tours, visit legislative offices, and hear from inspiring speakers on the importance of advocacy and the evolving landscape of virtual education in Texas.

Beyond learning and networking, attendees took part in a special initiative — writing and delivering heartfelt valentines to policymakers as a gesture of gratitude and a reminder of the impact their decisions have on virtual school families. Engaging discussions throughout the day reinforced the growing dedication of parents, students, and educators to ensuring their voices are heard in shaping the future of education.
