PSO Capitol Day events are in full swing across the country! Families in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Georgia celebrated their school choice option by rallying, writing letters to their legislators, and meeting with lawmakers and legislative staff in-person at their state capitol.

Hannah Mainda, a student from Missouri Virtual Academy, was a recent speaker for a School Choice Week event in her home state of Missouri. We are honored to feature her story for Black History Month as we celebrate advocates from the PSO community who fight boldly for education equity. Success happens when all voices are heard in the pursuit of educational opportunities. 

The PSO Florida team and parent advocates continue to plead legislators to give families the freedom to use Education Savings Accounts for full-time private and religious virtual schools. Last month, members of the PSO National team including Executive Director Kristen Tyagi and Board Treasurer Wei Barr were on the ground in Tallahassee to testify alongside these parents who want to see the law amended.

PSO was proud to celebrate another #SchoolChoiceWeek with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation. We are grateful for all the amazing work our friends at NSCW do to inform and empower parents to make the best decision in their child's education.
